Best Online Poker Bonuses

April 01, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker Bonuses

Take Advantage of Great Online Poker Bonuses

You can find a great Poker Bonus Online if you know where to look. And there are actually a whole lot of great Poker Bonuses, but it is important that you know exactly where you should be looking for them. When you go directly to an Online Poker Room you will be offered some pretty attractive Poker Bonus programs but, when you come to a web site like this one, you are able to take advantage of the vast industry experience and inside connections to get to participate in the very best of them. For example a Poker Site might be offering a 50 % matching bonus for new depositors and that can seem pretty attractive but with the right sources of information you might be able to get 100 % or even greater at the very same Poker Site.

Are There Many Different Types of Poker Bonuses?

There is not just one kind of Poker Bonus. There are actually many different kinds of them. And not only are there many different kinds of Poker Bonus programs but there are many different factors that contribute to just how valuable these Poker Bonus programs are exactly. We are going to focus on the New Player Deposit Poker Bonus programs in this article.

What is a New Player Deposit Poker Bonus?

These bonus programs are for players that are signing up at a Poker Site for the very first time. To be able to evaluate the true value of the bonus program you have to look at more than just this percentage. There are some other very important factors that you should consider about the new player deposit poker bonus program before you make your decisions.

• There is the percentage rate at which the Poker Site will match your initial deposit. Of course, the higher the percentage is the better that the bonus will be.

• There is the maximum amount of the deposit that will be matched. Some Sites will give you the matching new player bonus deposit but only up to $200.00 while others will match up to much higher dollar amounts.

• How many Poker points do you need to earn for the matching deposit to be earned? The more points that are required to be earned for you deposit to be released, the harder that it will be for you to actually earn the deposit Poker Bonus.

• How quickly do you earn the Poker points? The easier that it is to earn the Poker points, the easier and quicker it will be to receive the bonus money.

• At what point do you receive your Poker Bonus money? Some Poker sites will make you earn the entire amount before they release the funds to your account while some will release it to you as it is earned in much smaller increments.

• How long do you have to gather enough Poker points so that you can earn your Poker Bonus? Some sites give you a limited amount of time and some do not even have a limit on the amount of time that you have to redeem you Poker Bonus.

So as you can see there is a lot more to consider than just the match percentage when it comes to a new player deposit Poker Bonus. The industry experts at this site have already considered all of these factors and have selected the best opportunities to make available to you.

Mer Brit Poker Profile

February 25, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - poker news

Mer Brit – latest Team Pokerstars Online girl

Mer Brit is a relatively unknown high stakes tournament grinder. She used to be a cash games player exclusively, but made the transition to tournaments once she realized how easy they were to beat online. Mer started playing poker around 2007, and so far has made over 2,500,000 playing online tournaments – almost as much as Vanessa Rousso has earned in her entire career. Bet you didn’t see that coming?

It’s true. Mer plays online at both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker under the cute screenname peachymer, and is currently ranked 215 according to PocketFive’s ladder. Her biggest internet cash so far was in Pokerstars’ $109 No Limit Hold ‘Em Turbo event from two days ago, where she managed to secure a 2nd place finish for a $98,946 prize. Mer has also had a few great appearances in Full Tilt Poker’s $1k buy-in Monday tournaments, including a 3rd place finish on August 23rd 2011, worth $46,575.

Mer Brit currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a Psychology and Biology college student with exceptional results. Prior to becoming a poker pro, she used to spend most of her time riding horses, both in races as well as various animal shows. Mer was introduced to poker around the year 2007 by a former boyfriend who, at the time, was a pro poker player as well. Mer quickly found herself immersed in the game and, surely enough, reached the Super Nova status on Pokerstars within two years time. One of her trademarks is that she prefers not to use any Heads Up Display software when playing tournaments, as she believes this to be a distraction; instead, Mer prefers to trust her own observations at the table and make decisions based on them. It definitely seems to be working out for her so far.

Mer Brit’s interest in poker also resulted in the development of another of her passions – photography. As soon as she had enough Frequent Player Points on Stars, she bought a Canon Rebel camera at the PS store, and has taken a ton of great pictures during her travels, many of which are available on her public personal blog.

Unfortunately, Mer hasn’t had any notable live tournament appearances so far – she prefers to play in the comfort of her own home, with a candle burning and classical music playing in the background (for real). This will hopefully change now, what with her becoming a Pokerstars Online Pro on February 9th this year.

Just like Liv Boeree, Mel Brit considers herself a tomboy, and loves to participate in outdoor activities such as fishing, bungee jumping, white water rafting and snowboarding, among a few others. It would seem that the most successful poker girls have one thing in common: they enjoy both a challenge and an adrenalin rush. It makes you wonder; does the same rule apply for male poker players, as well?

Play Poker Online for Real Money

January 31, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker Reviews

Despite only being around for 18 months, Play Poker Online (http://www.playpokeronline.net) has grown to become one of the web’s most popular poker portals. Therefore, when we were given the opportunity to review the site, we jumped at the chance!

For those of you who haven’t been there, Play Poker Online set up to help poker players with their online play, no matter what stage of their development they’re at or what kind of player they are.

For those players who are new to the scene, the portal lists the best poker sites out there and reviews them open and honestly to ensure that you find the best place to play.

Noobies will also find comprehensive and easy to read guides that cover the rules of all types of poker games as well as some good strategy guides to help them make the best of their bankroll while they’re getting an understanding of the game.

Those players who have been playing poker for a while are catered for too. A regularly updated news feed outlines the latest promotional news to ensure that your bank roll is stretched as far as it can and the often provides special bonus codes, which can be used to take advantage of a number of deals – many of them exclusive to Play Poker Online readers.

The more experiences players aren’t left out of the strategy section either which is broken down into a number of sections such as “Poker Maths”, “Poker Psychology” and “Tournament Strategy.” And as if that wasn’t enough, all of the articles are written by profitable online players (some VERY profitable players!) who have been on the scene for a while, so you know you’re getting good advice!

The other main area that we want to touch on quickly is the comprehensive ‘Poker Sites’ section of Play Poker Online, which aims to break down all of the web’s most popular poker rooms into a variety of different categories.

So whether you’re looking for a site that accepts US players, has high traffic volumes or simply accepts payments via your preferred deposit method, then you’ll be provided with a ranked list of the best poker sites that match your criteria.

In short, Play Poker Online is a great addition to the online poker community and provides players with a lot of valuable information that can only help to improve their overall game.

We’re assured that there’s still a lot of ideas in the pipeline for the site too, so we look forward to seeing what they come up with next!

Step ONE; Find an online poker room best for you.

Every online poker room has attributes that benefit a select group of players. Some sites are best for players that are looking to play large tournaments, or looking for the best sitngo games. Some sites are best for high rollers and a few offer large bonuses and rakeback. To find out who offers what and which room is best for you check out some of the poker room reviews on this site.  If this is your first time playing poker I recommend the sites below.

  • Bet365
  • Party Poker
  • Full Tilt Poker
  • Poker Stars

Step TWO; Deposit to your poker room of choice.

There are many options to deposit, the easiest being your credit card or debit card. Credit cards are often declined at sites due to bank restrictions, for those users or people without a credit card there are prepaid credit card options like Ukash that can be found at Esso gas stations and Canadian Tire in Canada. Another great option are ewallets like neteller and moneybookers, these can be funded right from your bank or with a credit card.

Step THREE; Sit down at a table and start playing. Have fun and good luck
