(Note: credit cards are NOT an accepted form of payment).

For online poker players your ticket to the main event can be won at an online poker room that offers tournaments with prize packages to the WSOP. Some online poker rooms have buyins as low as a few cents to a dollar and allow you to work your way up through satellite tournaments to the final tournament where prize packages are awarded.  Not all online poker rooms run WSOP promotions and some sites are easyer to win at that others offering more pakages or at cheaper buyins.

Play Poker Online for Real Money

January 31, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker Reviews

Despite only being around for 18 months, Play Poker Online (http://www.playpokeronline.net) has grown to become one of the web’s most popular poker portals. Therefore, when we were given the opportunity to review the site, we jumped at the chance!

For those of you who haven’t been there, Play Poker Online set up to help poker players with their online play, no matter what stage of their development they’re at or what kind of player they are.

For those players who are new to the scene, the portal lists the best poker sites out there and reviews them open and honestly to ensure that you find the best place to play.

Noobies will also find comprehensive and easy to read guides that cover the rules of all types of poker games as well as some good strategy guides to help them make the best of their bankroll while they’re getting an understanding of the game.

Those players who have been playing poker for a while are catered for too. A regularly updated news feed outlines the latest promotional news to ensure that your bank roll is stretched as far as it can and the often provides special bonus codes, which can be used to take advantage of a number of deals – many of them exclusive to Play Poker Online readers.

The more experiences players aren’t left out of the strategy section either which is broken down into a number of sections such as “Poker Maths”, “Poker Psychology” and “Tournament Strategy.” And as if that wasn’t enough, all of the articles are written by profitable online players (some VERY profitable players!) who have been on the scene for a while, so you know you’re getting good advice!

The other main area that we want to touch on quickly is the comprehensive ‘Poker Sites’ section of Play Poker Online, which aims to break down all of the web’s most popular poker rooms into a variety of different categories.

So whether you’re looking for a site that accepts US players, has high traffic volumes or simply accepts payments via your preferred deposit method, then you’ll be provided with a ranked list of the best poker sites that match your criteria.

In short, Play Poker Online is a great addition to the online poker community and provides players with a lot of valuable information that can only help to improve their overall game.

We’re assured that there’s still a lot of ideas in the pipeline for the site too, so we look forward to seeing what they come up with next!

Play Real Money Poker Online

Play Real Money Poker Online

If you are looking to play real money online poker then you have come to the right place. I have put together my 3 simple rules to get you from where you are sitting now to playing online poker for real money.  All your questions will be answered below, in less than a few minutes you can be playing poker from the comfort of your own home

Step ONE; Find an online poker room best for you.

Every online poker room has attributes that benefit a select group of players. Some sites are best for players that are looking to play large tournaments, or looking for the best sitngo games. Some sites are best for high rollers and a few offer large bonuses and rakeback. To find out who offers what and which room is best for you check out some of the poker room reviews on this site.  If this is your first time playing poker I recommend the sites below.

  • Bet365
  • Party Poker
  • Full Tilt Poker
  • Poker Stars

Step TWO; Deposit to your poker room of choice.

There are many options to deposit, the easiest being your credit card or debit card. Credit cards are often declined at sites due to bank restrictions, for those users or people without a credit card there are prepaid credit card options like Ukash that can be found at Esso gas stations and Canadian Tire in Canada. Another great option are ewallets like neteller and moneybookers, these can be funded right from your bank or with a credit card.

Step THREE; Sit down at a table and start playing. Have fun and good luck

If I have not answered your questions please send me an email; ask@pokerdepositbonus.ca I will be happy to help you with anything you need.

Omaha Poker Rules and Omaha Hi/Lo Strategy

January 18, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - poker strategy

Omaha Hi/Lo Rules and Strategy

Omaha Hi/Lo is played the same as Omaha, each player is dealt 4 cards and then 5 community cards to make the best hand possible.

There are 3 types of Omaha games that can be played online at Unibet Poker. Visit here for the Unibet Poker download and get a 100 euro signup bonus.

Limit Omaha High (there is a specified betting limit in each game and on each round of betting)
Pot Limit Omaha High (a player can bet what is in the pot)
No Limit Omaha High (a player can bet all of their chips at any time)

Omaha Hi/Lo has two differences than normal Omaha poker.

One, that the game is played as High/Low. After the betting round following the River, the pot is split between the player with the highest hand at the table, and the player with the lowest hand at the table.

Two, that in order to win ‘Lo’, a player must have no higher than an 8-down. If no player has an 8-down or less, then the game is played as All-High.

It is possible to win the full pot with a hand that beats every other player at the table and doesn’t have any card over 8.

My Omaha Strategies and tips

I like to play hands with low suited connectors. This gives me a good chance to win the best hand. If I hit a strait or flush I also have a good chance of winning the low pot. Good starting hands would include 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 suited

I also like painted suited connectors that includes 10, J, Q, K, A odds of completing a flush or strait are much higher in Omaha than in a game like Texas Holdem.

Omaha is a much different game than Holdem and can be a great place to find fish who are just learning the game.  A new player will make many mistakes trying to learn and perfect this game.  To find the fish Download Poker Sites that offer Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo

What Makes a Poker Site Good

December 02, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker Bonus

What makes a good poker site?

Software

Software is not as much of an issue as it once was as most people have a fast internet connection than years ago and game technology has been built lighter to run faster.  Software is mostly all about the looks these days and the play options like multi table screening.

Support

Support is one of my highest interests when I choose a site to deposit on. I want to know that they will be available and capable of helping me.

Deposit options

One of my biggest peeves is when i find a poker room I like but when i try to deposit my credit card gets declined and they have no other options.  This is becoming a more popular problem as credit card companies try to denie online gambling transactions.  Some sites offer options like echeck and instadebit to solve this problem.

Payment options

My other peeve is waiting for online poker sites to pay me.  In my mind the longest a payment should take is 7 business days.  Many sites are much quicker than this but there are some that are much slower and you should avoid those ones.

Games offered

There are a wide variety of gambling games offer like poker, casino and sports betting and some sites have everything game imaginable to offer their players even bingo.  And some just do one thing only and do it very well.

Bonus

I always like to get the biggest bonus i possibly can at the time but still know all of my points of interest are met above.  That’s why I like reading reviews and playing on new site to find great places to play poker. Thats also how i am able to report back to you all on my top poker sites list
